Old growth cedar, lush ferns, granite boulders, thick moss, trickling streams, and sandy coves await you at the Echoes Harrison River Retreat. Spend your time strolling along half-a-mile of waterfront walking trails, suntan on the 150 ft dock and pier system, or canoe down the river to view ancient native pictographs. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Echoes!
Despite the amount of untouched wilderness, “roughing it” is not in the cards at The Echoes Harrison River Retreat. Located on the Northwest side of the Harrison River our log home and three red cedar cabins blend naturally into the surrounding forest.
Creekside Cabin, Tananger Cabin, and Woodpecker Cabin are each equipped with a bathroom, fireplace, and king or two double beds, perfect for couples or fishing buddies. Our quaint cabins offer down duvets, fresh linens, magazines, glassware and candles for your convenience. Each cabin features a 3 piece bathroom, equipped with hot water shower, sink, eco-friendly soaps, fluffy towels, robes and environmentally friendly composting toilet. Composting is a natural recycling process where human waste and toilet paper are broken down by microbes into minerals, and then converted back to earth.
Each cabin is equipped with an easy to operate propane fireplace at the foot of the bed. Eco-friendly solar panels provide power to each log cabin. If guests need anything at anytime, a simple two-way radio communication system connects you with Susan or Clint at the touch of a button. Or chat with friends in other cabins by using these walkie-talkies.
A spectacular river view can be seen from the front deck of each cabin. A small sitting area is available inside the cabin but most guests spend time together at the huge log picnic table by the fire pit. A heated riverside cookhouse, fully loaded with couches, eating area, board games, books and cool drinks is also available. This is where all dinners are served and it is always the hub of activity and a fun place to hang out with new or old friends.
